Tidal Pools - Oil Pastel Studies

This series is inspired by the serenity of the marine life, the gentle waves, and the geological formations found within the rocky crevices of the Adriatic shores.

I started experimenting with oil pastels in December 2022. Oil pastels have allowed me to be more expressive and spontaneous with textures, colors, and visual depth. These oil pastel studies have turned into an ongoing series that I’ve named “Tidal Pools,” demarcating a period of creative transition, exploration, and departure from my earlier (and more structured) work with colored pencils.
