Sasha’s Drawing (Sašin Crtež)

This drawing is a gift for a very special magic boy named Sasha. Despite his short life here in the physical realm, he has been one of my greatest teachers. He has taught me so much about the transformative power of love and kindness in the face of unimaginable loss and suffering; the resilience of the human spirit; and the need to reevaluate our cultural treatment of death, dying, and trauma. Thank you Sasha, my teacher. I love you.
